Crawling!

After almost a month of trying, Lauren has finally figured out crawling! On Friday, she was able to make a few trips between toys that I would set up for her on the living room floor. This morning, I wondered if she would remember how to crawl, so I put out a few toys as a test. She crawled between toys for a while, and then seemed to have the sudden realization that she didn't have to just crawl to her toys--she could go anywhere! She made a beeline for the dog's dish in the kitchen, and then moved on to the heating vent when mom took the dish away. She is still slow moving, but she can go from sitting or lying down to crawling all on her own. Yay Lauren! A whole new world just opened up to her. And mommy is off to do some baby-proofing!
