You've Got Mail

Lauren was so excited to receive a package from Grandma and Grandpa Lillo in the mail today!She opened it up to find an adorable new dress made by her Grandma. She also enjoyed reading the letter. :) Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa!!
In other news, Lauren and I made an unexpected trip to the doctor this morning. She has had difficulty sleeping for about two weeks, and has been tugging on her ear a lot, so we wanted to check it out. Thankfully, her ears look "perfectly healthy" according to the doctor--which is amazing, since her parents are the King and Queen of Ear Infections. The doctor said it's probably a combination of things: she's getting over a cold, she's teething, and she is at the height of separation anxiety (meaning she doesn't even want us to leave her when she sleeps). The perfect combination to equal sleepless nights. As the doctor said, "You've got a battle on your hands." Fabulous. We will still go back for her regular checkup in September, but we did discover this morning that she's weighing 19 pounds these days.

On a happier note, today was the first day that Lauren and I shared a snack. :) I had a peach this afternoon and decided to offer some to Lauren. I just cut it up in little bites, and she gobbled it right up. Our girl is growing up so fast!
