Lauren Christine is eleven months old today, and I have officially become one of those moms who say, "Where has the time gone??" I can't believe how quickly this year is going by, and how fast she is growing up. Here are a few updates on Lauren:*She officially has 8 teeth now! The fourth top tooth came through about a week ago. Last night, she woke up crying a few times and I suspected teething, so we gave her some Tylenol, which did the trick. This morning, I discovered her fourth bottom tooth has finally broken through.
*She still uses crawling and "cruising" the furniture as her main methods of getting from place to place. She is able to briefly stand on her own, as we have seen her do it a few times. The funny thing is, she doesn't believe she can do it. If she "discovers" that she isn't holding on to anything, she will immediately kneel down and touch the floor. She hasn't tried to walk on her own yet and that's just fine with me, in spite of the fact that every stranger's first two questions are 1) How old is she? and 2) Is she walking yet? I'm in no hurry for Lauren to reach that stage, and just enjoying where she is at right now.
*I tried to measure and weigh her at home this morning, which isn't very easy. I think she is still between 20 and 21 pounds. As for length, I tried to measure her the same way they do at the doctor's office. I came up with something between 30 and 30.5 inches, which is odd since the nurse said she was 30.5 inches at 9 and a half months. Whatever the exact number is now, I think she'll be about 31 inches at a year old, which is exactly 95th percentile for girls--staying right on track!
Speaking of eleven, tomorrow will be eleven years since Gary and I started dating. And yes, I would do it all again in a heartbeat.
More pictures to come soon. In the meantime, would you like to have a tea party with Lauren?

Yeah Happy 11 months! She is so cute in her little dress and tea cup. You should enter her in the baby gap contest, I'm going to enter Isaac and his friend Luke, as soon as I get a good picture.
