Lauren took her first steps on her own this afternoon!!
Although she's been able to stand for several weeks, it was literally just yesterday that she seemed to have the sudden realization that standing on her own is a good thing, and not something scary to be avoided. I took this picture of her last night just before bed:
And, this afternoon, I looked over to see her standing by the kitchen and she took two steps! I was so excited that I immediately grabbed the phone to call Daddy, and then I got out the camera. She has tried to walk several times now, each time only taking one or two steps before grabbing on to something or sitting down. But it's a start! And so fun to see the look of joy on her face as she takes each little step. She is just beaming! Yay Lauren!!
