We were fortunate enough to celebrate Christmas three times this year, which Lauren thoroughly appreciated. Christmas #1 was a couple of weeks ago when Gary's parents came for a visit. They brought fun gifts and introduced Lauren to all of the wonderful aspects of Christmas.
Christmas #2 was just the three of us at home on Christmas Day. We went out to dinner at the Apple Farm on Christmas Eve, and were thankful that Lauren was very well-behaved.
That was followed by a Christmas Eve service at church, and then Christmas morning, in which Lauren took most of the day to open all her gifts. Her favorites included a pink rocker, which will turn into a tricycle when she is older, and a ball that we got from the dollar store. ;)
Christmas #3 was with my side of the family this past weekend. We took Lauren out looking for Santa Claus (since she doesn't know that Santa usually doesn't pay a visit on December 30th) and returned to my grandparents' house to find more gifts waiting for her.

We were very blessed this Christmas season, and have enjoyed this time of health and happiness in the Weyel family. May the new year be a blessing for all of you!
