In spite of the fact that the
birthday destroyer attempted to strike again, Gary turned 30 on Monday, and we had a party to celebrate last weekend. Lauren came down with the stomach flu last week, which of course she had passed on to Gary and I by Wednesday night. Thankfully, we were all just barely well enough to continue with the party on Saturday.

We had a tri-tip BBQ at the Sea Pines Golf Resort with 30 of our friends and family, and we had a great time. The putting green was right next to the banquet room, so Lauren got to discover golf for the first time. (Really, she just wanted to bang two of the golf balls together.) We are so thankful for everyone who came from near and far to celebrate with us and make it a special time for Gary. And now, he can no longer claim he is "in his twenties!" (I apologize for the poor quality photos--I didn't get to take very many pictures during the event.)

Oh yeah, HAPPY BIRTHDAY EH!! We were going to try and make it up there for your big day but we couldn't make it. Looks like you had a very memorable day. I don't even want to think about being 30 for at least another 3 months. Jake's already beyond the breaking point. It's all downhill from here. Except for when we turn 37, then we're having a MEGA KEGGER!! K?
