15 Months Old!

My beautiful baby is 15 months old today! Although she's really not a baby anymore, but a very busy toddler. She likes to practice running, climbing, and jumping these days, and still LOVES to dance to all kinds of music. I tried to weigh and measure her here at home, and I think she's about 32 inches (maybe a little over) and about 25 pounds. For girls, that puts her at the 90th percentile for height and between the 75th and 90th percentiles for weight. We have our next doctor's appointment in March, so we'll get more specifics then.
She has 12 teeth now, 6 on top and 6 on the bottom. We let her try all kinds of foods, although she tends to be picky at times. She still eats baby food for most veggies and meats, as we can't convince her that the "real thing" is better. Her favorite foods are oatmeal (every morning she says, "o-mea" when I ask her what she wants for breakfast), cookies (of course), and olives, just like her Aunt Kate!
Naps continue to be a challenge. She is officially a one-nap-a-day kid now, and every morning my goal is to wear her out before nap time. So we spend lots of time going to the park (her favorite is the slide), playing in the yard, going shopping or to the library, and going on playdates. She spends time with her friend, Aidan, every Tuesday and Thursday when I'm at work, and absolutely loves it. She really enjoys being with other kids, and especially likes to give them hugs.
She still loves to talk, with some real words and lots of toddler babble. She is saying so many things, some words more clear than others. (The other day, I could have sworn she said "upstairs" clear as a bell.) She also loves "group hugs" and wants all three of us to hug when Daddy gets home from work. She gives sweet kisses and cuddles, and likes to climb up in our laps to "read" a book together. She is our little sweetheart and we are loving this time with her.
