Gary and I had our first night away from Lauren last Sunday and had a wonderful time! We definitely missed our sweetie (more than she missed us, I think!) but we came back refreshed and renewed. We stayed at a resort that's only about half an hour away from home, so we wouldn't be too far away and wouldn't have to spend much time on the road. It's also the place we stayed on our wedding night, so it is special to us. (The rooms have names instead of numbers, and our room was "Compassion.")
We did some wine tasting, ate a lot of good food, and even got to do some leisurely shopping.
Plus, plenty of time just sitting around, enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery. 
Lauren had a great time with her grandparents while we were gone, so we didn't have to worry about her at all. We can't wait to do it again!And since I'm sure most of you are more interested in pictures of Lauren than pictures of us, here are a few from this morning at home. I let her play with the soap in the bathtub and by the time she was finished, I think she was sitting in more soap than water.
Then we went outside to enjoy the sunny (but cold) weather. Every time I told her to smile for the camera, I got this look:
So, then Mommy had to tickle her. :)
