We honored Gary on Father's Day with a family trip to pick raspberries and cherries. Lauren loved it! Once she realized she could pull something off a plant, eat it, and it would taste good, there was no stopping her! The words, "Don't put that in your mouth!" were said often, as she wasn't very discerning about what to pick. But we had a great afternoon and we hope Daddy felt special. Lauren's gift to Daddy was a new mailbox. Doesn't sound too exciting, but it replaces the one with flowers on it that Gary hated. :)We also made him a special lunch, went out to dinner, and ended the evening at Celebration (a worship service at our church). I think that was the best part of all, seeing Gary and Lauren singing and clapping together in worship. Lauren sat with us during the music and joined right in. I wish I could have taken a picture of that!

Carolyn, that sounds like a perfect day!! I can imagine the end (even without pictures) and it does sound like the best part. Thanks for sharing! :) Mackenzie
