Lauren has had a cold for the last few days, so I've been searching for lots of fun activities to do at home. I came across a recipe for playdough that I thought would work well for us. It's made entirely from ingredients you'd find in your kitchen, which means it's safe if she puts it in her mouth or the dog tries to eat it. :)

We made our first batch this morning and had a great time! She liked squishing it, but especially liked destroying the things mommy made. I'll include the recipe below for any moms out there who'd like to try it.

By the way, the good news is that Lauren's asthma has been doing really well during this cold! We haven't had to use any of her special breathing treatments and she is recovering quickly. It's been just like a normal cold, which is actually a blessing for us!

NO COOK PLAYDOUGH
1 & 1/4 cups flour (set aside 1/2 cup)
1/2 tsp. alum
1/4 cup salt
1 pkg. unsweetened Koolaid, any flavor
1 Tbsp. cooking oil
1 cup boiling water
Mix all ingredients together. Gradually add the extra flour until mixture is no longer sticky. Store in refrigerator in tightly covered container or Ziploc bag.
Have fun!

Cute pictures! I'm glad you two are having fun and that Lauren's cold isn't too bad. Do you have the summer off work? Very cool if you do!! :)
