Glad To Be Inside
It's a stormy, blustery day outside and I'm so thankful that I don't have to go anywhere except back and forth to the garage for the laundry. So, since I have the time, here's a Weyel Christmas recap.

Christmas Eve was mostly spent driving home from Roseville and sniffling--we all caught colds, just in time for the holiday. But we did manage to make it to the Christmas Eve candlelight service at our church, which is a family tradition. And when we got home, Santa came and dropped off WAY too many presents for our spoiled little girl!
Christmas morning was fun, because Lauren knew Santa had come and she was excited. Here she is running up the stairs to see what he brought:
And this was her face when she saw all those presents!
We spent most of the morning opening gifts, and then went outside for some playtime. It was a pretty day, so Gary got to enjoy his new helicopter and we all had fun. The downside was that we weren't feeling very good, dealing with our yucky colds--so it ended up being a good thing that it was just the three of us on Christmas. (Sadly, we didn't feel up to going out for dinner--which was our original plan--and ended up eating frozen lasagna at home!) These were some of the good moments:

Our third Christmas celebration was down south with my parents, my sister and her family, and my grandparents. It was a very quick but very enjoyable trip. We had another delicious meal (which helped make up for the lasagna!) and took Lauren out searching for Santa Claus. (Thankfully, she isn't old enough to realize that Santa doesn't usually come on December 29th!) Amazingly, while we were gone, Santa dropped off more presents at Great Grandma and Grandpa's house, including a new easel/art table for Lauren (which she has been using every day) and a new wagon for cousin Connor. It's especially fun to see the cousins together.

Whew, still with me?! Thanks for taking the time to share in our Christmas fun and have a great weekend!
