The Valentine Report
Our Valentine celebrations started about a week ago, when Lauren had a party with her play group. We brought cookies and balloons, and enjoyed some fun time with friends.
Lauren loves her little buddies, Aidan and Rachel. As she says, "They're my favorite!"
I just love this picture of Lauren and Rachel. They were reading a book together and having the cutest conversation.
I couldn't convince Aidan to look up, but they both had fun swinging together.
This was yesterday morning, when Lauren was all ready to go to preschool on Valentine's Day.
And here she is examining all her "loot" from her school friends. After this picture, we had a big conversation about just how much of the candy she could eat.
This is the one thing she chose to have after lunch, and she enjoyed every minute of it.
Our Valentine evening was a celebration at home with the three of us.
Lauren's gifts were a new princess book and a doll that used to belong to Mommy.
Gary got some chocolate and a mini-scrapbook I made for him called "10 Things I Love About You." I didn't get a good picture of my gifts, but I got flowers from Gary and Lauren, and a new book.

We topped off the night with some "hot chocolate cake"--yummy!
I'll leave you with a new Lauren video. This is her latest talent, doing somersaults all by herself. After she does one, she'll often say, "You can clap for me, Mommy!"

Wow! What a cute and fun Valentine's Day! We spent the evening passing a Kleenex box around and drinking tea.
Cheri, if it makes you feel any better, that's how we spent Christmas! :(
