Wow, it's been a long time since the last blog update! So much to share from the last few weeks, but we'll start with today, because it's been a big day at our house. Lauren had her first day of a new year at preschool this morning. She moves up to the green door, which means a bigger classroom, more classmates (including girls, yay!), and lots of new things to do and experience. She was really excited about her first day in the green door, which made it easy to get her ready this morning and drop her off. The only time she seemed unhappy was when I wanted to take her picture--I guess I was cramping her style. ;) Here's our big girl, in the outfit she picked out to wear, all ready for a new year of school:

Today is also my eighth anniversary with my wonderful husband. Unfortunately, we're mostly "celebrating" by going to work, but we do get a lovely dinner out, just the two of us--thanks, Grandma! Here's what we were doing eight years ago today. (Sorry for the horrible quality; these are pictures of pictures.)

And finally, today marks the beginning of my ninth month of pregnancy! It's hard to believe that I will continue to grow for another month. Perhaps I'll be lucky and this little guy will be ready to make his entrance a bit early. We set up his crib over the weekend, and I'm gradually getting all of the baby stuff washed and put away. (I had a wonderful baby shower last weekend, and I'll share more about that later.) It has become increasingly difficult to do a lot of things, including picking anything up off of the floor or standing up for more than a few minutes at a time. I'm just doing my best to enjoy these last few weeks of pregnancy, knowing it will all end soon and we will finally meet our little man!

Happy Anniversary! You look great! So glad Lauren likes school...
Do you realize you posted at 3:37? Woah!
9 months already? Didn't you guys just get pregnant? Geesh time flies. Lauren is so cute. She looks so grown up. Isn't it amazing to see the difference from last year on her first day of school?
Happy Anniversary, you two! Hope you enjoyed your evening out.
By the way, Carolyn, pregnancy looks good on you! You're absolutely glowing. Enjoy these last few weeks. We'll look forward to seeing pics of your little guy soon!
Love,

Happy 8th to you and Gary! I remember the day like it was yesterday. Our baby boy is coming right behind yours, so we'll have to plan a cross-country play date some time in 2009.
