Her Last Day

There's something about the last day of the school year that makes me reflect on how quickly time is going by. Lauren started at Village Children's Center in November of 2007, when she had just turned 2 years old. And now, at 3.5, she is finishing her last day there.(You'll have to click on the picture and enlarge it if you want to actually read the captions...)

Starting in August, Lauren will be going to a pre-K class at a preschool closer to our new home. So today we celebrate her last day at Village, a wonderful place that gave her a great start at school. This past year, in the "green door," she had wonderful teachers...
...and made a new best friend, Lily...
We've been trying to explain to Lauren that she will be going to a new school soon, so I asked her if she will miss her old preschool. She said, "No, but I will miss Lily." It's okay, Lauren, we'll make sure you get lots of playdates with her. :)
Congratulations, Lauren! We are so proud of you!!!
