Jonathan is discovering climbing. He achieved both of these feats on his own, and is pretty proud of himself. And yes, he fell off the chair and hit his head right after this picture was taken. Eh, he's fine.

Lauren still loves to dress up. Today she wanted to be both a ballerina and a firefighter. Thankfully, when you're three, you can be both at the same time. And I am working on appreciating the every day. I read this quote recently, and it reminded me how fleeting the time is with little ones:

"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all the world, your return."

Thank you, Lord, for a normal day.
