Turning Two!

Our boy turns two-years-old tomorrow, but we got to start the celebrating early with some cupcakes at his toddler class this morning. He was so excited, which is odd because I'm fairly positive he didn't really understand what was happening. But he gave me these super big grins when I told him to smile for the camera, and then proceeded to jump around the classroom.

 

 

They had snack time in the middle of the morning, while I was at work, but his teacher took some pictures for me. Here's the birthday boy enjoying his Elmo cupcakes with his friends.

 

 

Lauren helped me make the cupcakes yesterday, and she was actually pretty good at it. We found different candies and cookies at the store for the eyes, nose, and mouth, and went to work.

This was the end result.

 

Lauren has become an awesome helper, and I know she is more excited about Jon's birthday than he is. However, Jon does love Elmo (it's one of his few words) and these were a big hit with him. Happy birthday, Jon Henry!
