We made a return visit to our usual pumpkin patch this year, and with it brought all my annual feelings of nostalgia. What is it about this tradition that always makes me think back to how things have changed?
2012 was a good year, with no illness and mostly happy little people. :) However, our favorite pumpkin patch made a bunch of changes this year, including charging for all the extras, taking away the animals, and raising the prices on pumpkins. Needless to say, we'll have to choose a new place next year. :( But we did pick some pumpkins to adorn our porch and carve for Halloween, and I got to bug my family for the annual pumpkin patch pictures, so it wasn't a total loss!
If you're still reading after all those pictures, here's a little bonus for you. :) That evening, we took the kids to Jon's first Cal Poly football game. Gary's work has a box at the stadium, which means we get to watch (and eat) in style. Although the kids were mostly interested in the food, they did watch a bit of the game.
Poly won the game and so far they're undefeated. Go Mustangs!!

I heard that La Familia moved down the street and changed their name to Ruitz Family Farms. So if you went to 'La Familia'' this year and things were different it is because they have new owners...
