Since Lauren's birthday was actually on Thanksgiving this year, and because she already had two birthday celebrations and was about to get another big birthday surprise, we decided to forgo the usual family party this year. Instead, we headed down to Aunt Kate and Uncle Ryan's house for our traditional Thanksgiving feast, and then celebrated Lauren's birthday afterward at their house. Jon and I prepped the day before by making Lauren's cake...
...and on Thursday we arrived at the Walsh house just in time to take a less-than-stellar family portrait. :)
Actually, the cousins were quite glad to be together...
...and Gary found his own way to cope with the in-laws. ;)
After demanding a delicious turkey dinner...
...we got on with the important business of celebrating our 7-year-old.
She was mildly excited about opening her presents...
...and we were overjoyed to make her feel like the special, amazing daughter that she is. We love you, Lauren Christine! Happy 7th Birthday!
