Oh, Happy Day!

At six weeks old, Lauren and I are beginning to figure each other out. She is doing great at sleeping during the night, giving us 6 to 8 straight hours of sleep almost every night. She is much happier when she is awake these days, and loves to watch everything. She gives her daddy and I big smiles every day and even has "conversations" with us. These pictures were taken this afternoon as she played with her activity mat. She is such a blessing, which we try hard to remember when she has her fussy times in the evenings. Yesterday, she had her first shopping adventure with me and her Grandma Christine. We went to three stores and out to lunch, and she was very good for the whole experience. She seems to love the grocery store--probably because she loves to eat! Actually, I think it is the bright overhead lights that capture her attention. She has definitely grown, although we won't know an official weight until her 2 month doctor's appointment. She is almost out of her 0-3 month clothes, and will soon be wearing 3-6 month outfits. The days seem to go by slowly (especially when she doesn't want to take a nap!) but the last 6 weeks have flown by. Our cup runneth over!
