My headache was doing better yesterday after the blood patch procedure, but it's back with a vengeance this morning. I've been doing some research online, trying to figure out how to get better. I found out only 1 in about 200 epidurals result in this type of headache, and most of them resolve on their own within a few days. Of those that are severe enough to require a blood patch, it is effective about 90% of the time, but in a small number of cases the headache returns. So, basically, I won the spinal headache lottery. Lucky me!
Other than venting, I wanted to write to ask for your continued prayers of healing. I am so blessed to be surrounded by supportive friends and family, a husband who serves me constantly, and a little boy who is an amazingly good baby. I am thankful for all of these things and can't wait to start enjoying them in an upright position again soon!

Carolyn, we are praying often. I can't imagine having a headache like that with a newborn. Please let us know when we can begin showering you with meals!
