He slept through the night!!!

At five-and-a-half months old, Jonathan FINALLY slept through the night last night! He's had the occasional long sleep-stretch before, but this was the first time that we put him down at bedtime and didn't hear a peep out of him until the morning--7:45pm to 6:45am. Is it because he's getting older and he's ready to sleep longer? Is it because he's been eating more and stocking up for the night? Will it ever happen again??? Who knows, but it was pretty exciting to wake up this morning and realize he had finally done it.

I haven't had much time for a proper update on baby Jon lately, but here are a few fun facts: He's eating rice cereal and oatmeal now, with two meals a day. (We'll probably wait until after our move in a few weeks and then start adding in some veggies and fruits.) He's also doing a combination of nursing and formula-feeding--it takes a lot to fill this guy up! He is rolling all over the place now, and I can't trust him to stay in one spot any more. I'm in no hurry for him to start crawling, but I don't think it's too far away. He also loves making noises, generally loud squeals and squawks. He smiles a lot, is already ticklish, and has a cute giggle. He's always drooling, always chewing on his hands (or something else), and has recently discovered his feet. He adores his big sister, and loves the way she plays with him. I'm always telling her to be softer and gentler with him, but he seems to like rough-housing with her already. He has beautiful brown eyes now, and is just starting to get a little more hair. He is generally wearing size 9-month clothing, although I try to squeeze him into some 6-month outfits, too. I just can't believe how fast he's growing and changing. Here are a few pictures from the last couple of weeks with Jon Henry...

So adorable, I have been meaning to comment for a few days on the last few posts, but Evan is constantly getting in to things these days. Sounds like you are quickly approaching this too! :) He is napping now. :) Thus, time to comment. I totally agree with you about God being present in your new home. We will be praying for you guys on that as well as hoping to do the same thing here. I heard this great thing on a movie, one of those Hallmark ones, the Love series if you are familiar with that. They had just got a very modest home and instantly prayed when they first entered it and asked the "Lord to Bless their home and all that entered!" So simple, but what an inspiration. Hope you can do this, we are going to do it here, but a little late. :) Also, loved Lauren's new catch phrase. Super cute! Miss you guys so much and can't wait to all get together in the near future. Love ya,
Kim
