Favorite Christmas Memories 2009

*Having Christmas Eve dinner with my family in our new home.

*Getting two surprise packages in the mail on Christmas Eve. (One was from Omaha Steaks--yummy! The other one was for the kids, which gave them special presents to open on Christmas Eve.)

*Attending Christmas Eve service with my family, and seeing Lauren sing Away in a Manger with the children's choir. (We only made it about half way through the service, but it was something.)

*Seeing Lauren waiting anxiously by the gate on Christmas morning. She told me she heard Santa's bells during the night so she knew he had come.

*Watching both my children enjoy opening presents. Lauren was very excited and grateful for everything she got (good girl!). And Jonathan figured it out after a few presents and kept going back to the tree to get more. Santa was very kind and brought everything in her letter.

*Enjoying Christmas breakfast with my family, while our full stockings waited nearby. Lauren had forgotten about the stockings, so we got to eat first and it made the morning last a little longer.

*Seeing a full kids' table at Christmas dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's house. :)

*Watching four generations celebrate Christmas together: eating good food, searching for Santa, giving and receiving gifts, sharing and connecting.

*Feeling love, joy, and peace as the best Christmas blessing of all. Already looking forward to next year!

By the way, there are LOTS more pictures of our Christmas over at our photo site (password: alittleweyel). I put comments on some photos, so feel free to check it all out. And Happy New Year!
