Farmer's Market had a "Bunny Trail" event tonight, so we took the kids for a quick outing before bedtime. They handed out bags, and then kids could walk around to the stores with a "Bunny Trail" sign and collect Easter goodies. Lauren had a great time--it was similar to what they did for Halloween (minus the costumes) so she was familiar with the routine and excited to participate. Jon joined in a few times, but was tired out and needed a rest in the stroller with his water bottle. :) One of the stops was a visit with the Easter Bunny, although this involved paying a fee and standing in a very long line. So instead, we stood outside the window, waved at the bunny, and took pictures from there. Fast and free--much more our style!

As you can see, Jon didn't care much about the big bunny anyway...

...and it was super windy and cold (hence the messy hair) so we didn't want to stay out too long anyway. But a great way to start a fun Easter weekend!

One more picture to share with you: we celebrated Easter last weekend with my parents since we won't be seeing them on Easter day. The sneaky Easter Bunny came early and hid some eggs and Easter baskets in the backyard. ;) There are a bunch more pictures of our celebration up at "
Our Photo Site" (password: alittleweyel).

And last but not least, the picture above is extra special today because it is my dad's birthday! (I won't mention how old he is, as some 60-year-olds don't want it announced on the internet--ha!) Happy birthday, Dad and Grandpa! We love you VERY much! :)

Jake is terrified of the Easter bunny suit guy. So the picture of Lauren with the Easter bunny guy waiving in the background is totally creepy and funny.
