Superdad!

Since this coming weekend is Father's Day, it seems to be the perfect time to write a post about the amazing daddy that lives at our house. :) Gary is so good about spending dedicated time with the kids, and giving them experiences that I might never even think of. This spring, he signed Lauren up for a golf class called the First Tee program. They went together every Sunday afternoon and Lauren really enjoyed learning about a new sport--so much so that she wants to do it again in the fall. After each class, they would go for a "special treat" together. I know she liked the class, but I have a feeling she liked special time with Daddy even more. Here are some pictures he took of our little golfer:

Jon has had his own activity with Daddy this past month. We enrolled him in Bitty T-Ball, and it is just as cute as it sounds. It's for 3-5 year olds, so he is one of the younger ones (but also one of the biggest ones, of course). He and Daddy go to practices on Wednesday evenings and "games" on Saturday mornings. I use the term "games" very loosely as it is mostly organized chaos. But Jon is actually doing quite well, and likes to tell me all about how he ran the bases, hit the ball, and caught the ball in his glove. I got to see his game last Saturday and took some pictures while I was there:

Gary, I am incredibly thankful for the father that you are to our children. You spend time with them, you speak truth into their lives, and you give them love and guidance. You consider their needs all on your own, and you do everything you can to meet those needs. You are amazing, and Jonathan, Lauren, and I thank God for you!
